Please note : This is a vacancy for a Band 5 trainee clinical coding auditor. The candidate will be working towards this qualification and on successful completion of the Clinical Coding Auditor qualification, will be promoted to a Band 6.

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Clinical Coding Team at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire. We have a vacancy for a Trainee Clinical Coding Auditor to lead the audit protocol at the trust. The Trust is looking for a committed and enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills. You will need to be an Accredited Clinical Coder (ACC) as well as committing to achieve Auditor Status.

You will be expected to interact with clinicians and operational staff, be responsible for your own work load and meet increasingly demanding deadlines whilst maintaining accurate clinical coding at all times. You will also have the opportunity to mentor less experienced members of the clinical coding team. You will be able to work as part of a friendly and supportive team working towards team excellence. You will drive the audit process within the department.

The department offers a flexible approach to varied working patterns to suit individual personal commitments and believes fully in a healthy work/life balance.

Contracted hours are 37.5 hrs per week, Monday - Friday
