Job Description

Senior Project Accountant We are supporting a well know global brand with the recruitment of a Senior Project Accountant to join their busy European team based on the beautiful Hampshire Coast. We're looking for real talent in a subject matter expert for capital project accounting to join this pacey business. The role will be challenging and varied and requires strong communication, analysis and business partnering skills and of course expertise as a Project Accountant. Role responsibilities will include: * Perform project accounting duties for multiple capital investment projects and providing guidance and support for projects owned by other finance business partners * Acting as program accountant for large scale multi project activities * Prepare consolidated reporting and analytics for European capital investments * Assist in establishing world class financial management and reporting for capital investments * To develop and use cost models in support of cost saving initiatives, capacity expansion and new product development * To monitor and report on overhead costs for functions within the European Manufacturing Team and manage the cost allocation process * Assist in preparation and analysis of consolidated reporting * Prepare budgets and forecast to company deadlines * Responsible for advising on and have oversight over compliance surrounding all capital investments * To build highly effective relationships with key cross functional personnel involved in capital investments * To ensure proactive identification and escalation of potential issues to Financial and Operational management teams The person: We are seeking an experienced Project Accountant who has working knowledge of financial management of capital investments and project management of financial processes. Experience within a manufacturing environment would be ideal and US GAAP and SOX preferable, although not essential. Candidates must offer strong analytical and numerical skills to support decision making with first class systems (advanced Excel preferable), organisation and communication skills with a continuous improvement focus.
