Senior Financial Reporting Accountant - ManufacturingNorth YorkshireAn opportunity has arisen as part of an exciting expansion plan for a new Accountant to join a fast paced, high growth manufacturing business in North Yorkshire. This is a role will require a technically strong Accountant to take the lead in providing high quality technical accounting expertise and deliver accurate, relevant and timely financial reporting. The role would suite someone from a practice background who has ideally worked with large clients or has already gained strong reporting experience in a fast paced industry role. Key responsibilities:Take responsibility for the production of all group and subsidiary statutory financial reporting ensuring accuracy, adherence to deadlines, technical and business relevanceEnsure that all disclosures in the financial statements are supportable and are of audit qualityAssist in the writing and checking of strategic reports and directors' reportsHelp drive the accounting policies of the group and develop the accounting policy manual so that it remains fit for purposeWork with the group tax accountant to ensure statutory responsibilities are meeting a high standard and that compliance risk to the group is minimisedProactively assist the external audit of financial statements, managing the relationship with the internal audit team and other professional services providers as requiredAd hoc projects as requiredSkills, qualifications and experience: ACA or ACCA (+ post qualification experience either within practice or industry)Audit experience preferableFlexible, able to consistently meet deadlines whilst remaining consistently motivated and focused on deliveryExcellent technical accounting skillsAble to work proactively either independently or as part of a teamProvides appropriate solutions to problems, combined with proven experience of decision makingAppreciates an excellent control environment and consistently aims for improvementDemonstrates initiative and maximises opportunities for improvementObjective, maintains unbiased approach and displays integrity at all timesDescriptionAre you an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk looking for the next step in your career?
