The role of the Assistant Accountant is a fantastic opportunity to gain broad experience within this diverse and growing organisation, working to provide financial services to Link and all its partners within the group.

As a key role within the Finance team, and working with our new Oracle finance system, you will be responsible for the production of management accounts, preparation of year end accounts and budget models. You will also produce regular and ad hoc reports as requested, along with preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

About You

The successful candidate will be educated to Higher level or equivalent with an intermediate level knowledge of accounting. You will be able to demonstrate this with your strong numeracy and literacy skills and will be computer literate with Microsoft packages, in particular, an advanced level of knowledge in Excel.

You will have experience of accounts analysis and reconciliation, using Financial Computer Systems and process improvements, with an investigative approach with attention to detail.

Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop effective relationships, a Customer-focused approach to service delivery, excellent organisational and time management skills and Proven analytical and problem-solving skills are all essential for this role.
