Excellent opportunity to work with a growing SME looking to develop their internal Finance function.

Location:- Warwick

Salary:- £40,000 - £45,000 basic + Package

Role:

This position is to work with the leadership team in creating an internal Finance function moving away from the current outsourced service. Setting up the correct systems and processes allowing the business to grow and be fully compliant with any HMRC audits.

Key Responsibilities:

You will take the lead for the finance function within the organisation, taking over the responsibilities from the outsourced partner over a set period of time. As the business is now approaching 10 million t/o the business needs a fully operational internal finance function. This role will take the lead in setting up the correct systems and processes to allow the business to not only operate now but also help it reach the next 15 million t/o and beyond.

From day one you will be both the hands on accounting function and leader setting up the systems and procedures. There is no internal finance function at present so you will be the first dedicated person with support from the outsourced partner.

From completing the VAT returns, Quarterly reports and end of year accounts you will be both compiling, competing whilst setting up the processes and systems allowing these to be completed and fully compliant to a HMRC audit.

This role would suit someone from a smaller (up to 25million t/o) business, so you are used to a more hands on function. Working with in a smaller team and understanding the pressures that come with working for an SME. Also having experience of getting ready for audits, internal systems reviews and developing a finance function for future growth.

Required Experience:

Degree or equivalent qualification in finance, accounting or business management (ideally AAT level 5+) Professional Membership (Or working towards a membership) of a relevant accounting body (CIMA/ACCA) or equivalent experience Expert knowledge and experience of both hands on carrying out a finance function and how to set up a process or system for a finance division looking to grow
