Our client based in Leicestershire are looking to recruit a Group Treasury Manager to strengthen, lead and support the Finance Team at their Head Office.

Aim of the Role

Reporting to the Group Finance Director this role will manage and oversee the day-to-day cash requirements of the Group, optimising the liquidity position and managing the cost of capital.

The Treasury Manager will ensure that the business understands the short term and long-term cash requirements of trading and non-trading activity and reports performance against forecast and agreed metrics.

The Treasury Manager will own the banking relationships for the Group and is responsible for determining and implementing appropriate treasury policies and controls.

This role has one direct report and will work closely with the Group Financial Controller and Transactional finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

· Manage and develop direct reports and other finance team members involved in the end to end treasury process on a matrix basis.

· Manage and report the short and long-term cash requirements of the business, owning the associated financial models - obtaining inputs from other finance functions.

· Analyse, report, and adjust forecasts based on actuals v forecast to continually improve accuracy and insight.

· Manage the cash risk register, providing expert advise on how to mitigate risk and crystalise opportunities.

· Optimise cash for the Group.

· Manage the banking and cash controls environment.

· Ensure that cash is posted/reconciled from statements to main records of accounts on a daily basis.

· Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all cash and banking metrics and Group MI.

· Input into forecasting, business planning and business cases for treasury related costs and levers.

· Own and manage the day-to-day relationship, transactions and reporting of the Group invoicing discount facility.

· Manage the compliance and reporting for banking partners and Worldpay, ensuring completion of necessary workbooks and inputs into covenant certificates.

· Keep abreast of treasury developments and implement best practice within the function and business.

· Drive continuous improvement ethos within the finance function.

Qualifications and skills

· Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)

· People management and development experience.

· Strong excel & modelling skills.

· Strong communicator with the ability to effectively work across finance and non-finance functions.

· Experience of managing external relationships - at a minimum banking relationships
