Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Wirral University Teaching Hospital Teaching Hospital in the Clinical Effectiveness Team within the Governance Support Unit for a Clinical Audit Support Officer based in Arrowe Park Hospital.

Reporting to the Clinical Effectiveness Manager, the post holder will work as part of the integrated Governance Support team supporting a work stream to facilitate the delivery of the Trust Audit Agenda.

Prior experience of governance is not essential for this role, however an ability to use administration systems such as excel and word is required as well as experience of working to challenging deadlines and providing support to clinical teams .

You will need to be a strong team member and be able to use initiative to work autonomously to support the wider team.

Main duties of the job
  • Providing practical support for audits, e.g. requesting case notes from Medical Records
  • Undertaking audit data collection
  • Presentation and collation of audit data
  • Escalate concerns in line with the Risk Management policy.

Experience
Essential criteria
  • Microsoft Office


Desirable criteria
  • Experience of analysing and interpreting complex / multifunctional data sets
  • Basic knowledge of organisational and management structures in the NHS


Education

  • A level education or equivalent

  • Excel intermediate
