About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Business Partner to join our fast-paced and dynamic team for an 18 month contract.
The post holder will be part of the ERP implementation team and will pivot with the costing and valuation team as Abcam implements and integrates Oracle and improves its Inventory Valuation, Gross Margin analysis systems.
Role & Responsibilities:
About you:
You will have extensive experience in Audit, Costing, Product Margin Analysis, Project Management and New Systems Implementations. You will be an outstanding communicator, comfortable operating in the detail, but with the ability to understand the big picture, you will be central to the development and roll out of key improvements to our global costing systems. Advanced MS Excel experience is essential in this role.
The work load is diverse and time pressured, so you will be a "right first time" type of person, comfortable keeping plates spinning whilst always delivering on time and to a high standard, with the confidence and organisation skills to lead on projects in a structured way. Constantly striving for improvement, you will challenge the status quo and look for innovative and creative ways to solve problems and improve processes. A fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) ideally with experience in an accounting practice along with experience in Oracle or similar ERP System (such as SAP) would be desirable.
There is a reasonable expectation of overseas travel (conditions permitting) to work with our overseas teams as part of the ERP implementation.

- Support and partner the development and implementation of a new ERP system. This includes supporting design implementation, testing, cutover, data migration and post go-live support.
- Ensure that relevant controls are in place to maintain accurate inventory and cost of sales data across multiple systems. This includes SOX compliance readiness.
- Creation of controls and policies.
- Partnering the Manufacturing and Supply Chain teams on creation and reporting of KPIS.
- Day to day interaction with senior leadership providing support.
