Our commercial teams help ensure that the business takes sound decisions through robust planning, careful pricing, sound contracts, skilled procurement and rigorous evaluation of every major business decision.

Job Description

Primary role purpose:

We are currently presenting an exciting opportunity for an experienced Treasury Manager with demonstrable experience to join our Treasury team within the Finance Division of Inmarsat's business. As part of a small team there will be opportunities to learn and develop across the breadth of corporate treasury activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for regular covenant compliance reporting to Group Senior Management and the consortium backers, as well as external parties such as bank lenders and investors. This includes producing the necessary certifications in line with the terms of the Group's Credit Facilities.
  • Responsible for all monthly, quarterly and annual Treasury management reporting as required by the consortium or Senior Management in a timely manner, including year end and half year end reporting, commentary and analysis.
  • To identify and address any gaps or inconsistencies with Treasury reporting; and to improve Treasury reporting processes by way of automation where possible.
  • To identify any Treasury process gaps and help improve Treasury processes generally.
  • To assist in the management of the Group's FX exposure including forecasting, reporting, and execution of FX trading.
  • To provide input and support for any TMS selection, implementation or improvement projects.
  • Supporting the Assistant Treasurer or any other Treasury team member with ad hoc projects.
  • To help develop best-practice in working capital management and any associated projects.
  • To develop strong partnerships between Treasury and the business units and other Group Finance Teams.
  • Maintenance of Group's banking relationships.
  • To provide cover for other Treasury team members when required, for example over holiday periods or sickness leave. This may include covering day to day Treasury operations including cash and liquidity management, foreign exchange management and intragroup funding.


Essential Knowledge and Skills:
  • Relevant accounting or ACT qualification, or equivalent
  • Corporate treasury experience within an international company
  • Enthusiastic, motivated and a self-starter with a desire to play a key role in a high performing team
  • Desire to operate as part of a team and to provide strong support to treasury leadership in scenario planning and drafting of Board level communications
  • Attention to detail is critical
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Word, Power Point
  • Global cash management experience is required
  • SAP ERP and Treasury Management System experience (SAP IHC and TMS preferred)
  • Foreign currency trading including confirmations & settlement - Bloomberg experience required
  • Ability to assess FX impact of commercial contracts
  • Understanding of corporate debt and covenant reporting (preferred)
  • Proven ability to develop bank and stakeholder relationships
  • Investment of excess cash with an awareness of risk/return and counterparty limits.
