Working within our functions departments, you would be supporting all of our business globally

Requirements

Your day to day responsibilities will include:
  • Investigative work to determine business opportunities and specify effective business processes. Specifies their implementation through improvements in information systems, data management, practices, organisation, and equipment.
  • Co-operates with senior client and IT staff as required, conducting investigations at a high level for strategy studies, requirements, specifications, and feasibility studies. Ensures that views of all parties are considered, verified, and validated within the stakeholder community. Ensures appropriate prioritisation is applied to meet business objectives.
  • Utilises business experience and skills to assess and advise on the practicability of alternatives, marrying up technical limitations with operational realities.
  • Takes responsibility as needed for the detailed specification and modeling of recommended solutions using resources, standards, methods, and tools as required. Maintains links with appropriate counterparts within both software engineering and service delivery functions and plays a full part in bringing systems to implementation.
  • Applies available standards, methods, and tools in an intelligent and effective way, and produces a consistently high standard of documentation for both a technical and descriptive nature.
  • Plans, arranges and facilitates meetings, workshops and relations with client/user staff during system investigations and throughout subsequent development work. Takes responsibility at a high level for the proper conduct of such relations.
  • Defines, plans and justifies (in business terms) projects to develop/implement automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes.
  • Assists clients/users in defining acceptance tests and takes responsibility for their proper execution.
  • Carries out business impact assessment, to determine how changes from teh current to the future processes and structures will affect business units and roles.
  • Creates business eadiness plan, taking into consideration IT deployment, data migration, capability deployment (training and engagement activities) and any busienss activities required to integrate new processes or jobs into teh 2business as usual" environment.
  • Determines the readiness levels of business users with regard to upcoming changes; uncovers readiness gaps and creates and implmenets action plans to close the gaps prior to go-live.
  • Assists the user community in provision of transition support and change planning, and liaises with the project team.
  • Reports progress on business readiness targets, business engagement activity, training design and deployment activities, key operational metrics and return to productivity measures.

Qualifications:

Business Analysis Diploma (Higher Level)

Foundation in IT-Enabled Business Change

Solution Development diploma (Higher Level)

Experience
    • Has achieved proficiency in the Task of Business analysis
    • Performs work activities covering technical, financial, and quality aspects.
    • Has excellent interpersonal skills and is fully experienced at dealing with clients/users.
    • Possesses a broad understanding of business and business skills, and understands the significance of commercial constraints.
    • Probably educated to bachelor degree level or holds a relevant professional qualification.
    • Has a comprehensive knowledge of relevant development life-cycles, and the environment in which they operate. Understands the interdependencies of business processes and information systems.
    • Has achieved proficiency in the task of Requirements definition and management
    • Is experienced in communicating with clients at all levels, singly and in groups. Possesses extensive knowledge of business and business skills and understands the significance of commercial constraints.
