Client Accountant (Accountancy Practice)

Job Role: Client Accountant (Accountancy Practice) Location: Hungerford, Berks Permanent, Full time Salary: Competitive Market Rate As the Client Accountant for this busy, expanding, independent accounting practice you will have responsibility for a large portfolio of interesting and diverse clients with a particular focus on personal tax. The portfolio will consist of Ltd Companies, Partnerships and Sole Traders all with varying needs and support. This accounting practice boast an excellent employee retention rate and has grown over recent years organically and through acquisition. Occupying multiple sites in and around the Thames Valley this practice offer a very hands on and interactive service supported by experts in their team for very specific tax issues. Responsibilities will include: * Preparation of accounts for limited companies (non-audit), partnerships and sole traders * Assisting, developing and reviewing work of a junior team member * Liaising and meeting with clients where appropriate to clear queries and discuss accounts and tax position * Completing personal tax returns for the clients in your portfolio * Supporting the director with running their portfolio, including client onboarding and billing Experience and Qualifications: * Minimum 2-3 years post qualification experience in Accounting Practice * ACCA or ACA qualified * Experience of managing personal tax issues (for complex queries there is a tax manager in house) * People management experience ideal but not essential * Experience of dealing with multiple clients * Excellent communication skills both written and verbal * Ability to quickly build rapport
