I am currently recruiting an Interim Head of Finance position for a fantastic Arts organisation, who are looking for someone to cover a maternity on a 16 Month FTC. This will be a part-time position, working 4 days per week (32 hours).
This organisation, who are UK based with a parent body based in the US, transform lives through the education of Art, host arts exhibitions and events, and publish research, magazines and books in the field of art.
Responsibilities:
Monthly accounts:
Review all monthly accounts produced by the Management Accountant (including budgets vs actuals and cost analysis)
UK Audit and US Tax filings:
Manage the UK audit, working with the UK auditors on the preparation of statutory accounts and providing information for the Trustees' annual report.
US tax filing work
Monthly payroll, pensions, expenses, overtime and employee benefits:
Monthly payroll processing Monthly pension contribution reporting
Trustee reporting:
Oversee financial reporting processes Produce quarterly reports for the trustee meetings, including budgets and reforecasts, costing reports, management accounts, and asset and investments reporting
Compliance:
Ensure all financial regulatory requirements are met Managing IRS payments, working with third parties on annual tax calculations
Bank approvals and payments:
Review and approve bi-monthly payment run from the Management Accountant
Grant payment schedule:
Manage and update grant payment schedules, working closely with the Grant Manager Oversee the scheduling of payments for cashflow and investment movement purposes
Insurance:
Manage all insurance for the organisation
Bank account administration:
Prepare new bank account openings documentation Maintain all bank accounts with any administration required
Requirements:
Available by March latest
Accountancy qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or overseas equivalent)
Strong learner of new processes
Strong written and verbal skills
