Axon Moore is working with a service-based business in the Leeds area. Currently going through a period of transformation and change, they are looking for a strong Interim Financial Accountant to join their team for a period of 3-4 months.
This role will see the successful applicant leading on the delivery of efficient annual statutory accounting, supporting working papers, annual report input and audit files.
Duties will include: • Drafting board /audit committee papers • Operation of IFRS16 model for lease accounting • Accounting for intragroup loans and financing • Compliance with control framework for work performed • Drafting and communication of year end audit plan • Resolving any areas addressed by the auditors
This role requires a technically strong Financial Accountant who is a self-starter with commercial acumen and a strong background in leading statutory accounting as well as complex balance sheet reconciliations, VAT, and taxation. Big 4 trained would be an ideal fit for the role or a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA) with relevant experience including IFRS16
