Lettings Client Accountant

Lettings Client Accountant /SW London / Up to £28k

Our client, a property management company entrusted to oversee the management of a residential portfolio in SW London, is looking for a Lettings Client Accountant to join their team.

Duties to include:

Managing accounts administration in accordance with RICS Code of Practice

Undertaking tasks for Rent and Commercial Service Charges

Preparation and completion of monthly and quarterly client statements

Payment to clients of rental income in accordance with the management agreement

Credit Control functions and arrears chasing

Setting up of new clients, properties and tenants onto the system

Assistance with all other functions as and when required

The successful accountant will need to have the following key attributes:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work with clients from all levels

Previous accountancy experience within lettings

Ideally an AAT qualification

Understanding of property management and current legislation

Professional approach and great organisational skills

A friendly and polite approach with a positive 'nothing is too much trouble' attitude along with oodles of common sense, exceptional time management skills and the ability to work on your own initiative as well as in a team, will all be part of your character.

Experience of REAPIT Property Software will be advantageous.
