Job Description :
  • Perform and review monthly posting and journal entries.
  • Perform monthly review of balance sheet reconciliations.  Ensure any reconciling items are addressed timely
  • To complete financial accounting activities which include Financial Reporting, reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, full balance sheet review.
  • Check the correctness of Journal entries provided by business teams to mark the corrections to relevant teams or Sr. Accountant.
  • Prepare Fixed asset schedules, balance sheet schedules on timely manner and keep a repository of the same to be ready for review at times required by management or auditing teams.
  • Review and update the detailed schedule of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation.
  • Prepare trial balance for account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation in cadency.
  • Prepare bank reconciliation statements by comparing bank statements against ledger transactions.
  • Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and compliance to internal policies
  • Work closely with other functions manager.
  • Secure timely operation and escalation of issues to Management.
  • Work actively with optimizing the efficiency and quality of the daily task.
  • Perform any ad-hoc duties assigned by superior.
Requirements :
  • Must posses at least a Post Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent. Professional Qualifications will be added advantage.
  • Minimum 2 years of significant experience in General Accounting or auditing within a multinational environment preferably in manufacturing companies
  • Knowledge and understanding of General Ledger practices, policies, and procedures
  • Proficiency in Local GAAP for Statutory Reporting for one or multiple countries - Malaysia, China, Korea, Japan, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Australia and India
  • Good understanding of cost accounting processes a plus
  • Sound knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work against and meet deadlines from multiple stakeholders and effectively manage expectations
  • Ability to communicate with a high degree of credibility internally across functional lines and externally with suppliers.
