Responsible for providing sourcing process expertise and analytics. Helps lead the collection and analysis of data, and may lead pricing discussions & negotiations. Will have responsibility for the Recruitment and Learning & Development categories with the Procurement team. 1. Assists in leading and managing global supply chain management and procurement projects. 2. Provides input in developing category sourcing strategies as well as manages the overall supplier relationship(s). 3. Provides consulting for improvements of global policies, programs and processes. 4. May lead pricing negotiations. 5. Carries out complex activities with significant financial, vendor, and/or internal business impact. 6. Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employees. 7. May manage daily operational activities and supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees (but not a formal management role). 8. Works on projects and develops project leadership skills A College or University degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or Finance and/or some relevant work experience and strong leadership in Sourcing or Procurement is required. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. In-depth knowledge of supply chain management and procurement is required. Analytical, project management and problem solving skills are required. Technical skills / systems knowledge (e.g. MS Office Suites with advanced Excel skills, ERP systems/Peoplesoft) is required.
