Job role
  • Involving in Financial Planning and Accounting section to ensure timely and accurate submission of financial and management accounts, budget preparation, statutory requirements. This role also involves close monitoring of expense to provide analysis to the management and assist in decision making
Daily activities:
• Review and approve invoice/staff claims/payments in the system
• Review records for asset and liabilities ie CAPEX, ROU, accruals, prepayments
• Report to manager on a timely manner on the operational issues, system leakage and problematic users.
• Perform reconciliation for long outstanding items in balance sheet and do clearing when necessary
• Assists in the budgeting process and communicate with respective stakeholders on the management expectation
• Prepare and review financial systems and documents are in compliance with laws, policies, standards, and regulations and with generally accepted accounting principles and practices.
• Develops and maintains ad-hoc reports as needed. Performs special/ad-hoc projects as assigned by Management.
• Performs other duties as assigned when required.
• Report to Financial Manager on a timely manner on the operational issues
Monthly closing activities:
• Review computation and information/explanation from respective department analyse appropriately
• Prepare and review month end journals and ensure completeness and accuracy
• Prepare and review full set of accounts for small size entities
• Monitor the month end closing task assigned based on communicated timeline
• Perform analysis and communicate effectively if there is any expectation gapStatutory filing and requirements:
• Able to manage auditor/tax agent independently and provide appropriate data
• Review statutory payment on timely manner
• Review necessary submission to meet legal or statutory requirements
Internal stakeholder:
Fosters close working relationships with key person in respective department to resolve in operational issues. Perform data retrieval and analysis to provide accurate knowledge sharing with finance team member and assist management in decision making.
External stakeholder:
Deal with external stake holders ie vendor, external auditors, tax agent, government officer in pro-active manner and responsive to their needs. Communicate effectively with these stakeholders to meet deadline/requirements.
Work closely as a team and have good relationship with everyone. Having effective communication and approach to avoid conflict of interests. Able to resolve issues collaboratively with team members and fully utilize this relationship to gain more knowledges, understanding and experiences.
Job Requirement
  • Minimum Certificate/Diploma, Advanced Diploma in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Good communicate skills especially in English
  • At least 2 year(s) of related working experience in this field is required
  • Preferably Junior Executives specializing in Finance - General/Cost Accounting or equivalent.
  • Good written and verbal communication in English.
