Role description and opportunities:

Assists in the delivery of financial reporting and analytics in support of assigned line of business / corporate function within Corporate Staff Finance team. Performs relatively straightforward analyses to support end-to-end processes, including development of budgets, period-end close, analyses of performance such as actual financial results compared to forecasts, target metrics and scorecard reporting.

Key responsibilities include the following:

  • Prepare financial reports highlighting performance drivers and explaining line item variances.
  • Compile financial information and conduct analysis for input into centralized periodic financial reports.
  • Develop and update budgets and forecasts using multiple inputs and assumptions to reflect changes in business strategies / intelligence in the operating environment that may impact lines of business / corporate function performance expectations.
  • Provide trend analysis on financial data and operating performance; interpret and summarize findings.
  • Responsible for accuracy and quality of own work, enabling the achievement of team goals.

A successful candidate should ideally have these qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3-5 years of total work experience preferred
  • Strong data analytics, financial modelling, financial planning and analysis experience preferred
  • Ability to use data to create narratives (story-telling) preferred
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint
