The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing analytical support for the Business Transformation organization at Bonneville Power Administration (BPA), facilitating, coordinating, developing, revising and drafting internal processes and providing budget analytical support and assistance. This position will support and assist the department managers and federal budget analyst through multiple budget processes, including start of year budget setting for the Business Transformation Office; supporting budget tracking for the Grid Modernization projects; monthly accrual processes; and, providing support for budget management throughout the year. This position will support BTO's leadership in transparency around budget, and will help them to develop efficiencies to streamline budget management processes. In addition to supporting effective processes, this position will support the department by serving as a general point of contact and subject matter resource for budget questions and verifying that staff is able to access the information they need to manage budget effectively. This position will work closely with representatives of BPA's Finance department to support budget management. In addition to budget process management, this position will also support and assist the department through ad-hoc budget exercises. As the primary departmental subject matter resource for the internal budget tracking, this position will research, coordinate, validate and enter corrections where expenses are charged incorrectly; and, assist with any systems requiring entering, updating and validating data accuracy.

Required Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, Organizational Development or a related discipline is preferred.
    • With an applicable Bachelor's degree, 5 years of experience is required.
    • With an applicable Associate's degree, 7 years of experience is required.
    • Without an applicable degree, 9 years of experience is required.
  • Experience should be consistent with the specific requirements of business analysis and progressively more technical in nature.
  • 1 year of Project Management experience.
  • Advanced skills/experience with Excel (pivot tables, vlookups etc.)
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with business process documentation and management.
