ROLE DESCRIPTION

The IT Assurance Specialist is an integral part of the SAP Concur Audit and Assurance team. The IT Assurance Specialist is critical to safeguarding SAP Concur, its customers, reputation, assets and the interests of shareholders, by conducting internal control testing and monitoring to identify areas of opportunity or gaps in the control environment.

The IT Assurance Specialist will assist with the planning, initiation, testing, reporting and continuous monitoring related to the internal control environment at SAP Concur. Monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards, and timeline targets are met. Play a significant role in enhancing the overall system of internal controls. Identify process improvement opportunities for efficiency, effectiveness, and risk mitigation.

The IT Assurance Specialist works collaboratively within SAP Concur to support Audit and Assurance in all aspects. She/he will also provide operational support for the program through monitoring and testing in order to assess the adequacy of the internal controls performed within the organization against the processes and control objectives.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage project schedule to ensure assessment is completed according to plan
  • Coordinate and perform internal control testing activities and reporting
  • Prepare internal reports, updates, maintains control matrices, and spreadsheets
  • Facilitate the review and assessment of key processes and controls
  • Perform control testing and monitoring on controls and document findings for review by Internal Control Testing and Monitoring Managers
  • Articulate the value and importance of internal control in a positive and business-sensitive manner to all business groups and sectors
  • Support evidence collection, and documentation in support of audits
  • Collaborate with ARC teams and stakeholders to create policies, standards, processes, and procedures
  • Generate team compliance reports and metrics by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information

JOB SPECIFIC SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of SAP Concur business products, internal workings of the organization and myriad interdependencies
  • Strong business and commercial acumen - strong strategic and tactical agility
  • 3+ years' experience in performing IT compliance or security risk assessments or audits Stays current on policies and procedures, federal and state laws applicable to: SOC1, SOC2, SOX IT, PCI-DSS, NIST, FedRAMP, ISO27001, and ISO27002 in order to implement best practices for the company
  • Document, perform, and/or follow-up on 2nd Line of Defense, regulatory gaps or exceptions
  • Submit project deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality standards
  • Monitor or track project milestones and deliverables
  • The position requires a strong, diverse background and strong oral and written communications skills
  • The candidate must demonstrate proven success in working in a team as well as independently and exhibit follow-through to understand controls and audits
  • This position requires managing multiple tasks with overlapping program deadlines. A demonstrated ability to write clear, coherent and precise reports on a multiplicity of technical issues is essential
  • Ability to build consensus, create momentum, and work well cross-functionally with other departments and varying levels of management
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with a focus on listening to stakeholder and customer needs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, proven track record of building strong credible relationships

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's or equivalent
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Security/Cybersecurity Training, Business Continuity or similar designation is strongly preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of internal controls and business processes, and understand how they relate to technology, security, cybersecurity, and infrastructure.
  • Strong analytical, execution, and project management skills with an ability to independently prepare, prioritize and complete work plans
  • Excellent communication skills and able to present clearly and articulate technical information
  • Exceptional communication and analytical skills
  • Cloud software experience
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
