Job Description

Broadridge is growing. We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Financial Planning & Analysis team. As the Senior Financial Analyst, you'll be a highly motivated teammate who will work closely with senior finance leaders. In this role you will focus on valuable revenue analysis, and requires a deep understanding of the underlying revenue accounting fundamentals and drivers of revenue. You will be responsible for multiple business divisions and will partner closely with each of the operation's leadership teams. The role requires the ability to multi-task and complete many high priority responsibilities simultaneously. You will have a strong sense of personal accountability and be able to take initiative to problem solve on their own.

  • Provide an effective support to the clients Product and Financial Control teams, during implementation of a vendor platform designed to streamline the accounting and reporting for fixed income products.
  • Ensure that adequate functional and unit testing is done through the creation of test scenarios , script writing and validation of expected accounting results.
  • Liaise with the vendor product teams to provide full transparency to the client, any emerging issues, as well as actions towards remediation.
  • Identify areas of procedural and control weakness and provide solutions to mitigate potential operational risks.
  • Participate in senior management meetings (SteerCo) to report Project status and highlight any potential risk to achieving the project end date.


Qualifications

  • Strong fixed income product knowledge and accounting skills required to support the products (T-Accounting, Trade lifecycle events, Testing Methodology etc.)
  • Analytical skills and the ability to explain difficult concepts to technical and non- technical users alike.
  • Self-starter requiring minimal supervision
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to share ideas and findings with the team and more importantly, the client.
  • Strong leadership skills to provide training, coaching and guidance to junior staff.
  • Ability to adapt to changing project deadlines and client demands.

Tech skills:
  • Strong excel skills (VLOOKUPS, INDEX-MATCH, Pivot tables, IF Statements, etc.)
  • Strong Accounting background
  • Strong Financial data analyst and reconciliations skills
  • Performance testing

Nice to have:
  • Knowledge of Broadridge's post trade platforms (IMPACT and BPS)
  • Strong SQL skills (as we use Oracle SQL developer to do analysis and reporting purposes)
  • PL/SQL skills (At least Beginner Knowledge)
