General Purpose: Maintain the general ledger and ensure the ledger is in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Principal Responsibilities:
  • Maintain general ledger in accordance with GAAP
  • Prepare journal entries in accordance with GAAP
  • Reconcile ledger accounts to ensure accuracy
  • Ensure accuracy of monthly and annual financials in accordance with GAAP
  • Analyze and investigate variances in trends of financial data
  • Assist with annual audits and tax preparation
  • Participate in special projects, continuous process improvements, and other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Must have general ledger experience
  • Must have month-end/year-end close experience
  • In-depth understanding of GAAP
  • Must be able to work independently, a self-starter
  • Experience with Workday is preferred, but not required
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills - vlookups and pivots
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Flexible and the ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Able to handle complex and confidential information with discretion

Education and/or Training:
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • 4-6 years of experience in the accounting field
  • CPA preferred, but not required
