Accountemps is currently looking for an efficient Senior Accountant with an eye for accuracy to be a part of a terrific short-term temporary opportunity in the Manufacturing industry. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Responsibilities
- Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations
- Ready monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
- Be a part of various department-wide initiatives
- Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
- Build analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
- Administer monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
- Ad-hoc projects as necessary
- Achieve compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners
- Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Requirements
- Outstanding skills in analyzing financial data and promptly generating accurate reports
- Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
- Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
- If you are proficient in financial reporting, you should apply for this position
- Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
- Command of journal entries
- Foundational knowledge in Accounts Payable (AP)
- Comprehensive knowledge of month end closings
- Deep understanding of Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
- Efficient in ERP systems
- Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience
- Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing, with functional department managers
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated analytical abilities, tendency to quickly connect dots and surmise logical outcomes
- BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are desired
