We trust that as a Regional Finance Director you will: (responsibilities)
- Provide recurring analytical, reporting and general financial management support to:
- Chief Field Operations Officer
- Vice President of Field Finance
- Area President for region assigned to you
- Division Presidents for region assigned to you
- Work frequently with all levels of the Division teams over a wide range of responsibilities including, but not limited to:
- Review financials/assist closing the books (monthly)
- Collaborate/review flash forecast (twice a quarter)
- Collaborate/review budget process (quarterly)
- Ad-hoc analytical support that spans both financial and operational focus areas
- Monitor operational metrics to communicate risks and challenges including, but not limited to:
- Sales pipeline
- Production cycle
- Backlog
- Sell-to-close
- Spec inventory
- Over/under performing communities
- Community opening schedule
- Collaborate with Corp Accounting and Internal Audit to create and roll out guidance in accordance with GAAP and SOX
- Serve as one of the primary liaisons between Corporate and Field teams
- Monitor KPIs and communicate actual and forecasted trends to Area President, Division Presidents and VPs of Finance
- Provide leadership support with Division teams to drive improvement efforts as needed
- Review and provide feedback to Division teams on all investment committee applications and pro forma analyses
- Responsible for holding Area Finance conferences, Controller conferences and VPF conferences to develop the Division Finance teams, share best practices, and create operational efficiencies
- Provide support to Corporate finance/accounting teams in preparation for earnings cycles and SEC filings
- Analytical and underwriting support for purposes of evaluating acquisition targets
- Key contributor to help onboard/integrate new Division finance leaders
- Part of the team expected to integrate, standardize, and evolve the Field operations for the Company

About you:
- 7+ years' experience in total Finance/Accounting
- 4+ years' Finance/Accounting experience in the homebuilding, land development and/or construction industry is a must
- Knowledge of cost accounting (specifically construction industry)
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience with finance and accounting systems and software
- Computer literacy, including excellent Excel skills
