SUMMARY

The FP&A Intern is responsible for providing financial reports for the finance and accounting group as well as other functions across the Kids2 organization.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, particularly Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, etc.)
  • Solid written, presentation development and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Detail oriented
  • Highly motivated and eager to learn.
  • Proven ability and overall understanding of fundamental finance and accounting acumen including data analytics, FP&A, forecasting, interpreting financial statements and reporting.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze financial data.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, meet deadlines, and keep supervisor updated of progress.
  • Collaborate but able to work autonomously to accomplish tasks.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Support various projects to drive improvements in financial reports, conduct financial modeling and analysis to support the business, improve forecast accuracy, results analysis, or data governance.
  • Following the monthly accounting close, assist in review and reporting of budget vs. actual variances.
  • Assist in automating various reporting and analysis.
  • Various other analysis and reporting as needed.


EDUCATION & SKILLS
  • Rising Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or other related field from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Advanced Excel, Word skills is a MUST
  • 0 - 1 years of finance and/or accounting experience or working knowledge from course curriculum.
  • Ability to work and problem solve independently, while still communicating important details to internal/external teams
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Skilled at building relationships, expert organizational skills, strong ability to multi-task, and outstanding communication skills
  • Skilled at planning, organizing, prioritizing and executing simultaneous projects and activities; proven ability to work well under pressure and adapt quickly to change
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn

  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk or hear.
