ABOUT YOU:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 10 years of proven experience in accounting
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and accounting procedures
  • CPA preferred, not required
  • Big 4 public accounting firm experience a plus
  • Intermediate Excel skills required, with ability to perform V-lookups and pivot tables
  • Experience using a variety of accounting software and a willingness to quickly learn others
  • Preferred experience with SAP, Hyperion and Concur
  • A strategic planner with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • An energetic, forward-thinking and creative professional with high ethical standards

HERE'S MORE OF WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
  • Manage accounting function, which includes accounting operations, accounting policy and compliance, financial reporting, payroll and accounts receivable and tax.
  • Work to streamline and constantly improve reporting and accounting processes. Executes key controls and perform flux/variance analysis, providing key insights and visibility into the company financial results.
  • Resource to the team with strong technical accounting understanding. Support the of accounting policies and procedures to ensure all business and customer transactions are executed and documented in accordance with general accepted accounting policies and company policies.
  • Maintain completeness and accuracy of consolidated financial results, and performs the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and footnotes.
  • Coordinates and executes the monthly/quarterly close process, ensuring all results are timely posted, consolidated, and fully analyzed, including review of subsidiaries' financial information and preparation of elimination entries and supplemental schedules.
  • Provides guidance and develop the accounting team, which may include the review of the work of others, journal entry reviews, account reconciliation reviews and fluctuation analysis review.
  • Generate and maintain various reports for facilitating financial analysis, budgeting, financial planning, balance score card and financial reporting.
  • Design and document internal procedures supporting the finance and accounting functions.
  • Provide support for ad-hoc financial projects and analysis, along with financial presentations as needed
  • Prepare and file various tax returns with the assistance of tax consultants
  • Design operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency
  • Assist with budgeting and mid-term plans
  • Lead various projects with external professionals, managers and team members
  • Maintain SAP Accounting functions and other Accounting software. Coordinate with IT and external consultants for trouble shoot
  • Make suggestions to management for improving this position, or improving work processes
  • Work safely by observing safety rules, policies and procedures. Identify unsafe conditions or actions to the manager
  • Other duties as may be assigned
