Summary

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team! If you are looking for a career and growth opportunity, you may be the right person for this position!

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be primarily responsible for the payment of goods and services ensuring that invoices are accurate, while maintaining proper accounting procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Uses accounting system to process invoices and daily check run
  • Reviews all invoices for accuracy, appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
  • Verifies accurate general ledger coding prior to posting
  • Posts entries for inter-company billings and allocations
  • Performs account reconciliations and analysis of accounts, as required
  • Access computerized financial information to answer general questions as well as those related to specific accounts
  • Maintain and ensure proper storage of documents through electronic document imaging systems
  • Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Managing files, records and designing forms
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.


Qualifications
  • Office 365 intermediate excel skills required
  • 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in accounts payable.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to solve problems independently
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work in a group setting
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Effectively manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines
  • Highest level of integrity
