Accounting Manager - Family Office/Seed Fund

Our client is a Silicon Valley focused seed fund whose domain experts bring an approach to portfolio construction that increases Sharpe ratio relative to standard venture, while minimizing J-Curves and improving hit rate.

The Role:

Some tasks include but are certainly not limited to are:

• Perform month end close for hedge funds (crypto) and quarterly close for the VC funds.
• Help prepare year-end financial statements and facilitate work with auditors.
• Review tax estimates, K-1s and PFIC statements.
• Maintain internal accounting and investor relation systems.
• Reconcile trade breaks and outstanding items.
• Prepare and update marketing and performance materials; adhoc investor reporting projects.
• Prepare internal reporting for GPs: daily performance, estimates, etc.
• Liaise with investment on valuation updates and inquiries.

Requirements

Keys requirements:

• 5+ years of management accounting experience within the Asset Management space (Hedge Fund preferred)
• Tax experience is a huge plus
• Experience with private funds, fund administration review, fund accounting is another plus
• Culture fit: someone with a strong sense of urgency, fast paced, ability to be in the weeds, and be a team player (they are a small company)
