  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in school nutrition preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting procedures and computer software utilization.

Knowledge and Duties:
  • Ability to use various computer software programs
  • Ability to use computer and assigned software to input information according to the proper distribution accounts
  • Ability to operate a 10 key calculator
Essential Functions:
  • Record all checks, money orders, and miscellaneous cash received; forward for deposit
  • Verify pricing on all vendor invoices with pricing sheets
  • Attach miscellaneous invoices with purchase orders and verify correct pricing
  • Verify all managers have signed all invoices
  • Enter journal entries for necessary accounts and post to correct amount
  • Handle vendor and manager calls regarding invoices
  • Verify travel reimbursements monthly, enter into computer and generate payment
  • Enter all parent refunds and distribute payment
  • Process payments into computer and prepare checks for mailing
  • Proof Batch listings for accounts payable to maintain accuracy
  • Prepare budget transfer information for approval
  • Audit all school food and non-edible goods monthly inventories and create journal entry for reports
  • Audit all schools monthly USDA inventory sheets and create journal entry
  • Revise and distribute USDA inventory sheets monthly to managers
  • Audit and correct food transfer sheets from all schools monthly
  • Review monthly vendor statements and handle all discrepancies
  • Prepare and file monthly financial reports with the State Dept. of Education
  • Assist Director with yearly budget reports. Monitors monthly actuals to budget
  • Work with other staff to ensure that all monthly state reports are prepared in a timely manner
  • File all accounts payable invoices and check attachments accordingly
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor
  • Meets USDA's Professional Standards training requirements. Participates in and attends training annually.

Salary Range: $36,379 to $53,996
salary placement based on years of experience
