Accounts Payable Specialist (Direct Hire)

Remedy is excited to partner with a great client of ours in the Orchard Park, NY are as they embark on a search for a well-organized Accounts Payable Specialist. This AP Specialist will be reporting to the Accounting Manager and ensure timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices. Here are some key details:

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00, depending upon experience

Hours: 8am - 5pm, Monday through Friday

Essential duties for this AP Specialist will include:

• Prepares and enters all vendor invoices for payment. Electronically files backup documents.
• Reviews amounts invoiced against estimates and researches/resolves significant variances as necessary.
• Processes vendor checks on a weekly basis and manual checks as needed.
• Ensures vendors are properly set up and maintained (tax id, vendor type, payment terms, etc.) in the system.
• Reviews unreconciled A/P items on a monthly basis and updates system as required.

The AP Specialist we're looking for will possess the following background profile:

• Associate's degree in Accounting or Business is preferred; HS degree is required
• 2+ years of prior accounting experience is required, preferably in a similar Accounts Payable related role
• Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel experience
• Excellent data entry abilities, along with strong organization skills including attention to detail & follow through
• Excellent communication skills are a must as you will be interacting with . external vendors and internal customers.
