Job Description:
Participate in the planning, development, support and configuration of large and small networked and sonar systems to assure high quality and consistent configuration.

Job Details:
Responsibilities
  • Perform configuration management by assisting in the configuration of equipment including network, computing, storage and graphics, in accordance with documentation.
  • Verify and assure the quality and configuration of fabricated, assembled and integrated piece parts, sub-assemblies and assemblies.
  • Order and track purchased parts based on design documentation, mechanical assembles and electronic assemblies.
  • Check and verify documentation, including mechanical and electronic drawings, against as-built conditions.
  • Maintain database of inventoried parts, locations, costs and vendors in support of consistent quality and configuration.
  • Track obsolescence of parts.
  • Other related functions as assigned


Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with four years of experience in quality assurance and configuration management. Four or more years of related experience with quality assurance and configuration management of large and small integrated systems. Experience with databases and engineering documentation. Experience with Linux.

Evidence of skills in the following areas: working with new technologies, being highly organized, planning and coordinating multiple tasks, effective time management, attention to detail, effective problem-solving skills, using excellent judgment, working independently with sensitive and confidential information, maintaining a professional demeanor, working as a team member without daily supervision, effectively communicating with diverse groups of clients and organizations, working under pressure, accepting supervision and demonstrating regular/punctual attendance. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

US Citizen: Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information at the level appropriate to the project requirements of the position.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's or other advanced degree. More than four years direct experience with quality assurance and configuration management of large and small integrated systems. Demonstrated experience with engineering drawings and documentation review and understanding. Knowledge of database design, data entry and verification. Experience ordering and tracking parts and parts obsolescence. Knowledge of shipping and receiving. Knowledge of mechanical drawing tolerances and assemblies. Eligibility for immediate access to classified information.

Salary Range

$42,228-$74,880+/negotiable depending on qualifications
