Job Description:
Manage/Supervise Plant Funds Team in Accounting and Financial Management. Oversee the operating and Annual Financial Report (AFR) functions of the team. This includes ensuring that documentation is up to date.

  • Supervise Plant Funds Section - Ensure that all work for the section is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Oversee the preparation of Plant-related AFR schedules and respond to subsequent audit requests.
  • Record debt information. Additionally, this position will assist with the documentation and subsequent administration of internal loan agreements.
  • Tracking and recording Capital Budgeting modifications from the Board of Regents, reporting of Library, Equipment, Repair, Rehabilitation (LERR) and Faculty Science Technology Acquisition and Retention (STARs) distributions from UT System, and various project-specific reporting.
  • Capital Gift Administration - This includes, but is not limited to, construction gift tracking and compliance.
  • Serve as Accounting and Financial Management's Plant Funds representative in Project Management and Construction Services (PMCS) and Capital Projects and Construction (CPC) project accounting.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration. Five years of progressively responsible experience in finance or accounting with experience in planning, forecasting, cost, and financial analysis.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with financial statement preparation of Plant Funds activity for a public institution of higher education. A master's degree in accounting and/or a CPA. Experience with tax-exempt debt compliance. Working knowledge of DEFINE and Cognos. Intermediate to advanced proficiencies in Excel and Access.

Salary Range

$70,000 + depending on qualifications
