Computes, classifies, records, files, and performs a variety of accounting functions with an emphasis on assisting the Accounting Manager and the Director of Finance.

Maintain a thorough understanding of all general ledgers and revenue codes. Responsible for daily scheduled credit card installment billing and biweekly ACH. Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of A/R subsidiary (registration) software utilization and report printing. Maintain mapping and interface between payroll system and accounting system. Prepare deposits for Business Office receipts and create and enter journal entries. Reconcile check refunds with Accounts Payable. Assist with monthly treasurer's report preparation, including review of monthly financials and report compilation. Working with the Accounting Manager, prepare all monthly reconciliations for bank and investment accounts. Input journal entries in INCODE. Assist with cash verification audits at facilities. Oversee and lead cash handling training for new front desk staff and/or when facilities open for the season. Together with the Accounting Manager, maintain records of all investments and prepare any updates as necessary. Prepare monthly Food and Beverage Tax for city and quarterly for the state. Oversee coordination of armored service pickup for facilities. Act as liaison for Parks Foundation to oversee all deposits, checks, reconciliations, invoicing, and communication. Oversee all aspects of Assetmax entry and reconciliation. Prepare required information for external audit and appraisals, as necessary. Assist with budget preparations and enter data into INCODE and Excel spreadsheets. Assist in preparation of financial reports and correspondence using Microsoft Word and Excel. Assist with internal audits of all accounts and records.

At least two years of related work experience and a bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent from four-year college or technical school; or five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and possess strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail. Experience with Microsoft Office products is required; knowledge of INCODE, Rectrac, and Aplos, a plus.

Hiring Range: $19.87 - $22.85 per hour, DOQ
Full Salary Range: $19.87 - $27.82 per hour
Classification: Full-time, non-exempt.
