QIBA is a nationally accredited registered training organisation with campuses in Sydney and Brisbane. You will be based in our Sydney office and become a valued member of our team.

Primary Objective:

To coordinate and facilitate the Academy's IT Systems

Main Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Working with clients, the external IT team, and other stakeholders to design and document new features in new and existing web applications used by QIBA.
  • Updating IT policies, protocols, and procedures.
  • Working with the system users to identify the limitations of the current student management system and to suggest and implement the necessary upgrades.
  • Work with key stakeholders to identify how changing business requirements may be delivered with existing solutions and suggest a new solution if required.
  • Maintaining appropriate system access for staff in various departments and various levels.
  • Implementing and maintaining required integration between the student management system and other third-party applications like Moodle Learnbook and USI Registry.
  • Creating surveys and collecting feedbacks regarding the existing website and implementing necessary changes. Updating the information on the website as required.
  • Creating training documents and conducting formal training regarding the existing and new IT systems
  • Acting as a liaison between staff and external IT Support
  • Helping staff in all QIBA locations with general day-to-day hardware and software related issues
  • Setting up and maintaining computer labs in both campuses for Information Technology classes
  • Providing remote support to diagnose and repair computer systems and printers all locations
  • A minimum of two years of previous experience in a similar role is essential
  • Prior experience working with international students would definitely be an advantage
  • Bachelor of IT (Busines Analysis background)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills
  • Ability to elicit and clarify business, data, and process requirements
  • Ability to liaise and negotiate with management, business, and technical staff
  • Good communication skills at all levels, especially with explaining technical issues to non-technical staff and student
  • Experience with a variety of end-user devices and operating systems
  • Experience with student management systems - preferably aXcelerate
  • Experience with Moodle Learnbook or any other Learning Management System will be beneficial
  • Experience with WordPress is beneficial
  • Multilingual ability is highly desired
  • Effective relationship management skills
  • Excellent customer service skills at all levels (written, verbal and interpersonal)
  • The ability to exercise good judgment and to meet strict deadlines
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to work independently and to work within a team
