Acorn Recruitment are working with a friendly firm of Chartered Accountants based in Abertillery to secure a bookkeeper to join their team. This is a permanent post and will be available on a remote basis during the current restrictions.

Salary: £16,000 - £18,000
Location: Abertillery
Responsibilities:
* Day-to-day bookkeeping for a variety of clients using Xero or QuickBooks.
* Accounts preparation as required.
* Preparing & submitting VAT Returns.
* Reconciling accounts and finalising invoices.
* Liaising with clients both over the phone and via email to query and request information.
Criteria:
* Good bookkeeping experience, ideally gained in a practice environment but this is not essential.
* Great communication, both written and verbally as you'll be expected to liaise with clients to request and query information.
* Ideally have experience with Xero, QuickBooks or other cloud-based packages but training can be provided if sufficient experience is evident.
* Competent in using Microsoft Packages like Excel, drafting letters to clients and answering phone calls with a polite manner.
* AAT Qualification would be beneficial.
