Financial Controller / Financial Accountant

THE COMPANY:

Brewster Partners are working exclusively with an established and successful Scunthorpe business who are looking to recruit a Financial Controller / Financial Accountant on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified (or finalist) Accountant to progress their career, or for somebody with relevant experience to join a secure established company that truly values its employees.

THE JOB:

Reporting into and deputising for the Finance Director your duties will be:

• Production of the monthly group management accounts and job costing reports
• Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts including intercompany balances
• Weekly Cash flow forecasting
• Management of Invoice finance facility and drawdown of cash
• Supervision of sales ledger, purchase ledger and payroll including staff across all companies (x5, x2 direct),
• Development and production of job costing budgets and actual reports,
• Preparation of the audit information and dealing with any queries,
• VAT return completion, UK and overseas,
• Assist the Finance Director with the annual budget preparation and assist with Ad Hoc finance reports and projects when required;
• Implements the company's accounting procedures including, but not limited to, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, VAT returns, journals entries, bank reconciliation, petty cash, Bank transfers, expense reports, employee receivables, and account analysis,
• Required to communicate with all regions in the company and other external parties.

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate will be newly qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or finalist level with some relevant experience though applicants QBE with the right level of experience can be considered. You will be commercially astute, an excellent communicator with the ability to lead a small team.
