My client is a large Manufacturing and Production based business, located in the Northampton area.
they are currently working from home but hope to implement a phased, flexible return to work in the office on a part time basis in the future.
They have a great team and require a highly skilled Commercial Management Accountant and Finance Analyst to join the team
Description
The Commercial Management Accountant role includes the following duties:
- Analysing manufacturing job performance, bringing the information to the relevant forums such as the WIP review and Job Cost Review meetings
- Commercial and Operational support and challenge
- Investigate and drive operational performance improvements
- Coordination, preparation, analysis and reporting for month end closing
- Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations including stock accounts, GRNI and WIP. This will also include the review of monthly stock adjustments, stock holdings and analysing cost variances on purchases
- Assist in the building of reports to analyse business performance and update reports as required
- Review of standard costs and processes
- R&D Tax Process
- Ownership of the VAT Return
- Responsibility for the Cash flow Model (including updating the format)
- Overhead cost control - planning and tracking, liaising with other departments to investigate costs
- Capex/Investment Appraisals
- Support accounting/finance team as required
Profile
The successful candidate will possess the following skill set and experience:
- Either part or newly qualified CIMA/ACCA or QBE
- Experience within a manufacturing business
- SQL report experience would be desirable but not essential
- Excellent Excel skills to interrogate data
- Excellent communication and business partnering skills, able to influence other and build strong working relationships
