About the role

Key responsibilities of the role are:
  • Sign off and management of the month end reporting activities of the procurement finance function for Kerry Foods and Taste & Nutrition.
  • Savings tracking & reporting and ensure alignment of the reported procurement savings figure with the wider business ie operations finance.
  • Management of the raw material forecast and budget and annual pricing process, ensuring alignment with the wider business ie commercial finance. Management of the quarterly inflation/deflation reviews of the Foods private label customer trackers eg Aldi, Morrissons, Asda and Heinz
  • Working capital management & reporting
  • Energy Reporting for Group
  • Management & development of the finance team (3 direct reports)
  • Sharepoint Maintenance
  • Finance representative on OurVoice team
  • Act as a valued Business Partner to the buyers to drive improved performance opportunities in the procurement function ie pips and working capital
  • ICT Functional Excellence – support the successful rollout of the EPM project in Procurement
  • Ad hoc requests eg Brexit tariff analysis, currency analysis
  • Ability to challenge decisions, performance, and expenditure with empirical, fact-based insights to drive improved outcomes and greater efficiency.
  • Experience:

    The successful candidate will operate, largely autonomously, to inform and influence senior stakeholders. They will foster a continuous improvement mindset and culture within the procurement team. This person will need to be a self-starter with a broad business mindset who can work on their own initiative and as part of a team and acts with drive, determination and resilience.

  • Proven track record in managing senior stakeholders
  • Qualified Accountant in CIMA/ACCA/ACA or similar, CIMA preferred.
  • 8 years’+ experience overall, ideally with at least 3 years in a similar role
  • Astute business and commercial acumen with the ability to interpret and interrogate commercial and performance data across the operational environment
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to get on with people. Positive attitude and capable of remaining positive in a fast paced environment
  • High professional standards, who strives for continuous improvements
  • Knowledge of SAP (ECC & BI), OLAP and Salesforce.com an advantage, but not necessary.
  • Improvement and standardization of processes 
  • Excellent analytical and modelling skills
  • Advanced Presentation & Excel Skills including Pivot Tables and excel formulae such as vlookups, index/matching, macros, etc.
  • Skills:

  • Very comfortable with autonomy and pro-active in approach
  • Results driven
  • Team player and demonstrable leadership capability
  • Decisive (takes tough decisions on priorities)

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and able to establish trust and credibility.
