Group Operations carries out high quality and efficient banking services to clients across the Business divisions ensuring an excellent execution of millions of transactions daily. We operate globally in four regions – 'Switzerland', 'APAC', 'Americas' and 'UK Entities, Wroclaw & Dublin'.

The Balance Sheet Control team is a legal entity-facing service provider to Securities Settlements, Cash Settlements and Custody Services functions and their regional leads providing risk & control governance, balance sheet control and independent control testing. This role is to be part of the APAC Region to provide timely and effective oversight across the functions for all legal entities within Asia. Key responsibilities include but not limited to the below:
Own, perform & manage balance sheet substantiation. Remediate complex issues through extensive collaboration with other Group Ops teams, Finance and Product Control on GL close, ad-hoc issues, impact on downstream process and financial reporting. Understand the GL Policy & guidelines and ensure the region’s process meets the requirementsPerform & coordinate the control testing (SOX/CAF) for the supported functions in line with the bank wide policy & guidelines. Drive the start & end of the year processes, define and drive the testing prior to the deadlines. Provide timely updates on status to relevant regional N4 business partnersLead and manage the oversight of Key Risk Indicators including the monthly governance forums with N3/N3 to review PRI’s and other risksResponsible for the on time completion of the Regulatory Reports currently in scope for the team as the data provider. Manage the client balance substantiation in compliance with the Client Money regulations.Understand and clearly articulate the impact of any new business initiatives or technology changes on the balance sheet and other control functions.Lead a small team of functional specialists. Demonstrate innovation and flexibility to better achieve targets and objectives10 years’ experience in Banking Operations / Finance or Product Control with an understanding of trade flows & key risk indicators.
