Head of Finance - Maternity Cover
Joining our Senior Leadership Team as of Head of Commercial Finance (maternity cover) you'll have the opportunity to drive transformation throughout our business. Your decisions and leadership will be crucial to delivering our financial objectives and to the development and execution of our data strategy. Head of Finance Responsibilities:
• Drive and improve financial performance throughout the business; identify and execute opportunities to leverage data for better decision making, work cross functionally and with global experts to deliver an accurate and timely data suite. • Lead the UK&I business to ensure a profitable, sustainable and flexible business model that can adapt to changing needs, channel shifts and consumer tastes/trends. • In conjunction with the UK Leadership team, own the planning cycle which includes strategic/operating plans and forecast updates. Ensure cost control, risk management and governance is clearly in place. • Be a lead member of significant customer tenders; ensure value creation by overseeing the modelling and assumptions. Champion and lead the thinking on managing the cost to implement the most efficient and effective ways of working across the business. • Oversee accurate and timely accounting and corporate reporting, preparation and presentation on monthly performance with the Senior Leadership Teams. Guide and influence decision-making on strategic choices and investments. • Lead a team of 6 people; actively participate in the talent development process for identifying future leaders in the business and create an environment to support development based on the Hallmark ways of working.
Head of Finance Requirements:
You're an experienced, qualified, commercial finance leader and have a passion for data. To be successful in this role you'll also need to demonstrate:
• Strategic thinking; with ability to lead, collaborate and influence at all levels. • Analytical leadership; enjoys leveraging data to inform commercial decisions • You're a qualified accountant with experience in retail, FMCG and/or a highly data led finance function. • Extensive data science and analytics experience; advanced level Excel, experience of data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau) and experience of building self-service analytic tools.
