Management Accountant

We are working exclusively with a private equity backed manufacturing business in Skelmersdale to recruit a part qualified / finalist level Management Accountant.

Client Details

This business has been performing very well and has the backing of private investors to help with their current phase of growth. They are a well established manufacturing working with some of the UK's largest and most recognisable businesses.

Description

Reporting into the Head of Finance, you will take responsibility for:

• Preparing management accounts, including P&L analysis
• Analysis of variances to budget and/or forecast with commentary
• Journal postings
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Daily, weekly and monthly MI reporting
• Developing MI processes
• Analysis of data and turning into meaningful reports to be presented to board
• Business partnering with other departments to drive business performance, reduce costs and identify areas of opportunity or weakness
• Supporting the product and standard costing processes
• Overseeing junior members of the team

Profile

For the Management Accountant role, you must have worked in a similar role and be able to produce a full set of management accounts. Other important skills include:

• Able to prepare budgets
• Strong communication skills to be able to effectively partner with other areas of the business
• Excellent organisational skills
• Hardworking attitude and proactive approach to improve processes
• Advanced Excel skills
• SAP knowledge is desirable
• CIMA/ACCA/ACA part qualified or finalist level
• Ideally to have worked in manufacturing
