Management Accountant (Manufacturing)
Interim Contract - Northwest based
Client Details
Large international business with sites worldwide, require a Management Accountant on an interim basis. The role is to support sites across the UK, overseeing work from the Shared Service Centre and although currently WFH, the role can be based in the Liverpool or Manchester locations moving forward.
Description
Main responsibilities include:
Responsible for the preparation of regular monthly reports of Corporate Finance, Statutory purposes and local management reporting.
Accountability for the outcomes of all accounting and financial reporting activities for a controller's review package.
Manage the Annual Statutory Audit
Monitor relevance and accuracy of the different sources of information.
Manage the the monthly closing of the General Ledger ensuring the financial data accuracy.
Monthly forecasting and yearly budget preparation.
Review of Balance Sheet Accounts reconciliation.
Manage the Inter-company accounting and asset business.
To be a business partner, closely cooperating with commercial, supply chain and other business and project managers to understand the local business challenges and strategies.
Ensure segregation of duties, robust controls and compliance.
Respond to any financial questions or concerns from general management Financial Planning & Analysis, Accounting & finance, regional or global teams by explaining data related to local business reporting.
Profile
You will need to be a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) and have experience in ideally a manufacturing or similar multi-site /complex industry. SAP experience is a prerequisite. You will also need to be a strong business partner, with excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
Job Offer
The role offers a competitive salary on a fixed term contract basis, initially for six months (it may get extended to 9 - months), generous pension contribution and 25 days holiday.
