Finance & Systems Consultant #365

£250-£300 per day

Home-based, UK

1 day/week for 12 weeks

Our partner is an award-winning international environmental organisation. They are seeking an experienced finance professional to review their existing finance function processes and systems, and offer advise on how the finance function needs to develop and evolve to meet the needs of the charity and plans for growth.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the current finance function and systems – including the finance policies and procedures, finance and systems manuals; presentation of financial information and reports; and the current structure of the finance function, including roles and responsibilities.
  • Identify anticipated needs for the organisation based on growth plans over the next 3-5 years, and consider what changes will be required to be made to meet the needs.
  • Review implementation of new system, and assess system readiness for their growth.
  • Report on the key findings

    • Key Requirements

  • Qualified accountant with significant, demonstrable experience in a senior finance role in a growing multi-country, multi-programme charity.
  • Experience of restructuring or reorganising a finance function; strengthening internal controls, processes; and establishing a new finance system.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and diplomacy skills, able to successfully interact with a range of staff and stakeholders.

    • They expect a 6-12 day commitment over a 12 week period. Salary c. £250-300/day, depending on experience.
