The Wealth Management Digital Services organization supports the Northern Trust Wealth Management business unit by driving the vision, strategy and delivery of the overall client and Northern trust employee (referred to as “partners”) experience. Our goal is to create, validate and iteratively deliver a contemporary, integrated experience that enables relationship management teams (and their supporting ecosystem of regional and operational support teams) to provide high touch, personalized interactions with prospects, clients and third party advisors through an efficient and scalable set of tools and operational processes. 

We are looking for a Portfolio Analyst to join the team to support the Portfolio Manager in owning the end-to-end Wealth Management digital transformation roadmap. In this role, you will need to be analytical, a great communicator, and comfortable using influence to get things done. You will be interacting with senior leaders for both strategic planning and progress updates. You will also own creating and maintaining documentation feeding the overall portfolio. You will collaborate with the broader Digital Services team, Product team, Wealth Management leadership, thought leadership Practice representatives, Mid-to Back Office Operations and Technology partners to foster an innovative and integrated environment.

Major Duties: 

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of current client and partner experience and supporting technology and data platforms.
  • Formulate regular agendas, work with presenters to create inputs, create the final presentation and create notes and next steps as relates the Quarterly Business Review process, weekly Digital Services leadership meetings and monthly Executive Operating Group updates. This process facilitates the evaluation and prioritization process to vet new ideas for business value, financial implications, client + partner desirability, technical feasibility and competitive differentiation, ensuring any new offering or feature aligns with the broader client and advisor experience and business architecture.
  • Create status needs list and work with stakeholders to craft an approach to regularly reporting initiative status to meet the various status needs. Insure consistency in status reporting across needs.
  • Maintain portfolio roadmap of status, dependencies and key risks in initiatives across the Digital Services portfolio.
  • Maintain central backlog of experience opportunity missions with their supporting business cases. Create and maintain list of desired outcomes for DS work when creating business case framing. 
  • Partner with Product, Data and Technology teams to capture and maintain resource planning overview to ensure resources are optimally leveraged and proactively planned as part of mission planning processes. 
  • Own keeping capital tracking and expense financials up to date in real time. Follow up with key stakeholders as needed and escalate potential issues to the Portfolio Manager. Create summary views of the capital data as needed for various stakeholder needs.

Experience Required 

  • Analyst with 2-5 years of experience comfortable with both tactical support and strategic thinking
