Interim Assistant Head of Finance
The role will be initially for circa 4 months whilst I am recruiting the permanent role on a retained basis.
My client is a large complex Public Sector organisation based in South Wales.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, The Head of Finance is responsible for managing the day to day activities of the finance team.
The team are well established, motivated and work as a tight close nit unit.
This role will be covering a vacant Assistant HOF spot that I am recruiting on a permanent basis and will be starting late February/early March.
The key elements of the Interim role will be to continue the development of the corporate finance side of the organisation (Financial Accounting, Capital Accounting, treasury etc) as well as having oversight and responsibility for all the budgetary areas and Financial Business Partnering teams.
You will be a qualified Accountant with ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA
You will have worked in a large complex organisation, Ideally Public Sector, NHS, Education etc, however candidates from large complex commercial organisations will be considered.
You will have excellent technical accounting experience and be able to run a successful Financial Accounting team, that delivers the year end accounts, Capital Accounting, Capital Project investment and also manage the Finance business partnering teams.
You will have excellent interpersonal teams, being able to influence key stakeholders across the organisation.

An initial 4 month assignment, however this may get extended.
Salary c £225 - £300 per day depending on experience
You will have to go to site to conduct a handover with the departing Assistant HOF. This will be for around 1 week. After that, the role will be home based.
