Senior Accountant

Company Background

Our client is an ASX listed property business with a number of listed and unlisted funds across office and industrial assets. They are a well established business, having been in operation for over 30 years and have seen stable growth in their portfolio over that time. They have recently implemented MRI, and as a result they are looking to hire a strong Senior Accountant to help with post-implementation unreconciled items.

The Role

This Senior Accountant role is a 6-month Contract position reporting into the Finance Manager. The key focus is regarding the cleanup of aged unreconciled items and the development of controls. Further to this your responsibilities will be:

• Bank reconciliation across multiple entities
• Allocation of inter-entity transactions
• Implementation of controls and responsibility matrix
• Training offshore staff

Your Background

To be suitable for this Senior Accountant position you may be a Fund Accountant, Trust Accountant or Financial Accountant looking to take a step up in a contract position.

You will ideally have experience with property trusts, however you may also have experience outside property such as legal or financial services.

My client is looking to hire someone to start immediately. An accounting qualification is also required e.g. CA, CPA, ACCA, etc.
