Our story began in the 1940's when the Smith Family started their box making business in East London. Since then, our reputation has grown for quality engineering and dedication to our customers.

As a leading supplier of corrugated packaging and a FTSE 100 business, we operate across 37 countries and employ around 32,000 people. We believe in empowering our people; driving a culture of engagement and continuous improvement to deliver results. So, when you join us, you'll not be surprised to be given the opportunity to create, learn and innovate.

Our vision is very clear - to become the leading supplier of sustainable packaging solutions.

About the role

This is a fixed term contract (maternity cover), for between 9 and 12 months.

As a Financial Planning Analyst for our Recycling division in Caerphilly, you will be providing FP&A support and acting as a Finance Business Partner to our Head Office functions. You will be consolidating monthly results and fulfilling divisional and group reporting requirements, looking at areas including volume, revenue, added value and costs.

You will be producing variances to previous forecasts (and uploading them to HFM), leading reviews and creating management information packs. You will be liaising with a variety of stakeholders to provide robust volume forecasts. You will also be producing information and presentation packs around the budget process and pricing, all for senior management to review and use at Operations and Business Review meetings.

We'd also like for you to produce segmental reports on actuals and produce forecasts for the financial year in conjunction with Head Office function budget holders. You should be able to identify incorrect cost postings, forecast upcoming expenditure and look for cost savings.
