My client, an international giant within the entertainment and gaming industry, are looking to recruit an Indirect Tax Accountant to join the team in Leeds.
Reporting into the Senior Tax Manager, the Indirect Tax Accountant will play a crucial role in working with the business to understand the challenges facing the group, and will devise appropriate solutions to manage the group's tax affairs, ensuring compliance with all tax reporting requirements.
The Indirect Tax Accountant will be a mixture of compliance, VAT and other technical projects, and is the perfect way to move into an exciting in-house tax role. Key responsibilities include:
- Responsibility for the preparation of VAT returns in several jurisdictions, ensuring filing and payment obligations are met on time.
- Responding to general VAT queries across the business supported by the wider VAT team.
- Assisting in the completion of VAT Audits and dealing with other ad hoc queries from Tax Authorities
- Assisting in UK and International VAT technical projects.
- Assisting with automation projects.
- Liaising with advisors and making sure that the Group is up to date from a VAT perspective.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Tax qualification
- Big 4 experience ideal
- Strong working knowledge of VAT
- Self motivated and organised
- Good team player who understands the complexities of working for a global group
