What the role involves:
Treasury, Stock & Intercompany reporting and control across 14 countries and growingManagement role with responsibility for treasury, stock and intercompany related accounting activities across PrimarkResponsible for completion and analysis of hedge accounting across the Group each periodResponsible for stock valuation and support for FM overseeing the stock valuation transition as part of Oracle R4Preparation of currency spreads by entity resulting from IFRS 9 periodic movementsResponsible for intercompany reconciliations for treasury transactions each periodProcess non-cash movements as required relating to treasury relationshipsManage intercompany process each period relating to treasury accounting functionProvide accurate and timely information to be included in period end reporting packsResponsible for submission of treasury period end reporting pack as part of overall Group processPreparation and analysis of financial year end notes for reporting packsReview and challenge of periodic processes to identify opportunities to drive efficiencies through automation or revised processesKey link with audit teams and other advisorsInvolvement in technical financial accounting advice, researching the impact of accounting policy decisions on the business and advising of relevant changes.Leading and management of direct reports What we're looking for:
Qualified accountant (essential)A strong understanding of key treasury controls, accounting issues, systems and policies applicable to a large international organisationStock valuation experienceAt least five years of financial control experience in a corporate treasury environment, preferably with exposure to derivatives, hedge accounting and other financial instrumentsGood general IFRS knowledge, with particular emphasis on IAS 39 and IFRS 9Strong computer literacyHigh energy and enthusiasmGood communication and interpersonal skillsTeam player able to work across treasury, finance and the business unitsStrong relationship builder:Leadership – a strong ability to work without direct daily supervision and provide leadership to direct reports, peers and supervisorsAble to work in a flexible manner to meet changing priorities For further information, and to apply, please visit our website via the “Apply” button below.
