Our partner works supports a range of initiatives tackling poverty and injustice. The range from education and healthcare initiatives, and community development. They are seeking a hands on Head of Finance to lead the finance function through a new strategic period of growth.
Responsibilities
As a member of the senior management team, responsible for contributing to the strategic direction of the charity, and acting as an advisor to the CEO and Board Members.Responsible for creating the annual organisational budget, and maintaining the long-term running budget and financial forecasting.Oversight of the finance function and financial operations, including developing the appropriate risk management, control and financial policies, procedures and systems; overseeing all accounting practices; the payroll and tax functions; and pension provisions.Responsible for preparing the year-end accounts and annual reports, and preparing for the external and grant audits.Responsible for preparing management accounts for internal use, and quarterly analysis and reports for the board. Requirements
Qualified accountant with an all-round technical charity finance background and commercial acumen, and experience working in a leadership role, and in a strategic, advisory capacity.Strong analysis, report writing, and IT skillsExcellent communication skills, able to work effectively with junior and senior colleagues, as well as internal and external stakeholders.Open to working in a Christian organisation This role is home-based during the COVID-19 pandemic and whilst government restrictions are in place; once these are lifted there will be some office-based work required.
